The precious Pinot Noir vines at Jenks Vineyard are directly influenced by the classic combination of Goldridge soil and warm days, cool nights and foggy mornings leading up to harvest. These brilliant growing conditions allow the clusters to develop complex aromas and deep flavors. To highlight the special characteristic of the grapes and the site, we allow the natural traits of the vines shine in this new release. As the vineyard is gaining age, the maturity of the grapes are starting to truly expose themselves. The 2023 Jenks wine is characteristic for its intensive aromas of ripe red fruits, Spices floral teas and baking spices such as cloves and cardamom. The 2023 delivers all of that. On the palate, the wine is plush, with soft and luscious tannins yet remains concentrated. The wine expresses robust flavors of black cherry, wild strawberry, red currants, and citrus zest, and a nuanced with toasty oak touch. This wine will continue to open for hours and deliver a structured, complex and beautiful mouthfeel with amazing depth of flavor. This pinot will age well for over a decade.
