The 2022 Jenks Pinot Noir retains its beautifully dark crimson red hue. The 2022 might be the prettiest Jenks I have made to date. It is soft, while maintaining a big, round, and expressive texture. The wine expresses aromatics of strawberry and rhubarb pie, wild berries, lavender, cinnamon, cardamom, leather, and roasted nuts. This Pinot Noir carries on the tradition of its rich, dense, and alluring flavors of black raspberry, cherry, cherry cola, blueberry and pomegranate, while this year it seems to have an added expression of strawberry, licorice, and brazil nut, which is prominent on the nose. The 2022 Jenks is a velvet bomb, with super smooth tannins, beautiful structure, and a wonderfully long finish. I have been adding Pomard clone back into teh vineyard and his vineyard. The Jenks pinot is so consistent in profile and approachable, even when young. I just love it. I do believe this is the prettiest and most approachable Jenks I have made to date.
