The 2022 Barbera, IL Ciccio.  Hails from the Chalk Hill AVA. Il Ciccio, or little fat one, is a name we came up with because the Barbera grape, although small,  is plump and fun to work with; it never disappoints. The 2022 Barbera is my style, which is to say full-bodied, round and deep.  Il Cicio shows aromas of blueberries, cherries, plum, wild strawberries and crushed violets. This Barbera is fruity and floral yet remains a complex wine, with gobs of black berry flavors and black stone fruit, strawberry and with notes of balsamic, spices. The 2022 is full-bodied, soft, fruit forward delicious from start to finish.

The 2020 TADDEI Wines Barbera is grown at Pauli Ranch in the historic winegrowing region of Redwood Valley in Mendocino County. With multiple vintages of this wine under our belt, we are truly happy with the Barbera fruit from Pauli Ranch, as it never disappoints. The 2020 Barbera is a full bodied Barbera with wonderful aromas of berries and crushed violets.  The 2020 Barbera is a powerful and complex wine, with big berry compote flavors and black stone fruit with notes of Strawberry, Bing cherry and baking spice. The 2020 is deep, rich and fruity. This is a full-bodied, fruit forward wine and excites from start to finish.
