This Rose is a saignee from the Mustard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon.  I bleed, or saignee, wine to concentrate and adjust my wine chemistry during fermentation for more concentrated and balanced wines. This Oakville Rose shows an elegance that is reflective of the Cabernet I make from the vineyard. The wine is loaded with cherry and strawberry notes on the nose, with an additional twist of orange zest.  Leading the pallet are citrus notes that combine Cherry and red berries that work well with the soft texture of the wine. The finish reflects the pallet with citrus notes and adds an additional hint of leather and minerality that makes the wine very appealing.

2023 Rose&#39; of Cabernet Sauvignon, Oakville

100% clone 214, this Cabernet Franc is medium to full bodied and is a wonderful expression of the Chalk Hill AVA expressing the unique characteristics of the region.  On the nose are aromatics of leather, tobacco, black cherry, cocoa cassis with floral notes of rose petal.  The palate defines Cabernet Franc exhibiting a richly textured and deep wine with smooth tannins. The wine exudes strawberry and red berry compote with notes of graphite and leather, finishing with hot cocoa chocolate and raspberry.  This franc is fruit forward, delicious, and ready to go now with a little decanting and will age beautifully for a decade or more. 

2021 Cabernet Franc - tu es belle

The aromas express layers of citrus notes with a hint of almond skin and honeysuckle. On the palate the wine exhibits terrific acidity coupled with buttery notes and sweet citrus brule. The wine has a generous mouth feel with velvety.
texture and ample structure. The tannins are sweet with impressive depth.
These wines can be enjoyed now, or you many cellar for another decade.


2021 Chardonnay, Taddei Block, Russian River Valley

Full bodied and full throttled, this zin has a nose bursting with dark cherry and boysenberry.  It is a fruit bomb, just what you would expect from a great valley floor Dry Creek Zin.  The palate is loaded with chocolate, raspberry and plum with a hit of licorice right around the mid palate. The zin rounds out the finish with mocha and leather, which sticks around and makes the wine even more interesting.

2020 Sauvignon Blanc, Stark Vineyard, Napa
The 2020 Stark Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc hails from the alluvial tail out of Mount St. Helena, in the Calistoga AVA of Napa Valley.  The vineyard resides in a warm climate aiding in the development of more tropical fruit notes, resulting from higher levels of linalool, a compound that is largely responsible for wine aromatics. The wine shows aromas of Pineapple, Mango, Guava, and citrus peel along with floral notes. The mouthfeel is crisp, and the wine shows flavors of Passion Fruit, citrus with underlying notes of nut and clove spices. This Sauvignon Blanc is an excellent wine to accompany oysters, cheese plate, chicken dishes or a porch and warm afternoon.


2020 Sauvignon Blanc, Stark Vineyard, Calistoga

2018 Rutherford TADDEI Block sits on the Rutherford Bench almost directly across from Alpha Omega. The vineyard is approximately three quarters of an acre, and we farm the fruit at approximately two tons an acre. I lightly saingee this fruit only to adjust alcohol and pH. I love the profile of the Rutherford dirt and I do what I can to preserve it in the wine. 2018 was the first vintage I processed fruit from the block, and often it takes two or three vintages to figure out how to handle the vineyard. I really love this little block and in 2018 the wine shows lovely flavors of plum, cherry and leather on the pallet with soft tannins. The nose has a floral characteristic to it with notes of dark stone fruits. The wines finish is very smooth with hints f leather, espresso and dark fruit.

The 2019 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon is a wine made from one of our first leases in Napa. The vineyard is on the Bench in Rutherford right along HWY 29. The Taddei Block is round beautifully drinking wine, the palate opens with red fruits, notes of blueberry, cedar and caressed with mocha notes. There is an intriguing hint of spice and white pepper that seamlessly leads into the dusty minerality finish that we personally love about Rutherford. This Cabernet is pretty, expressive of Rutherford.


The 2020 Rutherford TADDEI Block does not disappoint. Following in the footsteps of its older brothers, the vineyard continues to kick out great vintages. In a vintage that was very trying, this little gem stood out. The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon has aromatics that express raspberry, Bing cherry, leather, cigar and pencil lead. On the pallet, the wine is very consistent between vintages with copious amounts of cherry, crushed plum and leather with exceptionally soft tannins. The vineyard continues to produce fruit that possess rich flavors coupled with dusty elements and soft tannin.
