As the word implies, the 2021 TADDEI Stratification is a representation of three different vineyards, from the different elevations and geological zones within the Dry Creek Valley. From the eastern ridge-top is the Ionnatti Vineyard with boomer loam soil, the Colline Vineyard resting on the bench with manzanita loam and finally the valley floor Integrity Vineyard with yolo loam. Three distinctly different vineyards, each providing its unique representation of the Dry Creek experience. On the nose the wine is quite floral and fruity expressing violet, intense aromas of raspberry with underlying notes of Tayberry and pomegranate. The wine is consistent from beginning to end with pure berry notes all the way through to the finish. Supple, smooth, with a strong berry thread from front to back and delicious with each taste.
