2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, Haas Vineyard The 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon, 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Haas Vineyard, in Knights Valley. The fruit from this vineyard hails from the top of a ridge within the knights Valley AVA. The Vineyard sits in rocky, volcanic soil, blown over from Mount Saint Helena. This wine was barrel aged two years in new French Oak. Our 2020 Haas Cabernet was the first year we worked with this fruit, and it has quickly become one of our favorite vineyards. As many of you know Chris has a deep and fond love for fruit from the Knights Valley AVA. This vineyard is exceptional, producing wine that is big, rich, plush, structured and age worthy. The nose reveals orange soda, raspberry and cherry preserve. Moving across the pallet are loads of dark fruit and cassis with hints of Blood Orange and chocolate, this wine is sexy as all get out. The 2020 Haas has such depth and balance that it is already drinking well now, in ten years we can only imagine what this wine will become.
