The 2016 Super Sonoman Pinot Noir is beautifully colored crimson red hue, the wine expresses the pleasing aromatics we have come to love about this vineyard including ripe tree fruits, wild berries, fresh sage, lavender, cinnamon, forest floor, leather, and roasted nuts. This Pinot Noir continues its reputation with excessively rich, dense and captivating flavors of black raspberry; ripe cherry, blueberry and pomegranate. The wine has layers of mocha, Asian spice, all wrapped with the framework of selective oak barrel. Adding to the complexity, the wine is profiled with a velvety texture, bright acidity, velvety tannins, firm structure, and a wonderfully long finish. Year after year this vineyard creates a wine that is not only consistent in profile but approachable when young, and built to age.
