The 2022 Haas Cabernet Sauvignon, Knights Valley. Situated on the top of the eastern side of Knights Valley, this vineyard is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Similar to the Jenks Pinot, this vineyard is very consistent year over year. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon features a deep purple-blue hue and has a beautiful nose. Reflecting the classic aromas of plum, ripe black cherry, and black fruits, fresh herbs, tar and cigar box. Rich and deep on the palate, the flavor profile is brimming with engaging notes of leather, caramel, and tobacco with dark cherry, boysenberry, wild berries and graphite. The 2022 is a full-bodied, with grippy but not coying tannins, this wine has its consistent firm structure and a long, persistent finish. The 2022 Haas is a very tasty wine but I believe that this one will benefit with a little aging in the cellar. This is a wine that will likely age for more than a decade.
