High above the Dry Creek Valley floor, on the eastern ridge of Dry Creek Valley lays the Ionnatti vineyard. Sitting at approximately 700 ft. the rocky, hillside conditions of the region, combine with the consistent sunshine that results from being above the fog line produces small yields and grapes with concentrated flavors. On the nose there is an explosion of Red berries, blackberries, black stone fruit and Cherry. The wine transitions seamlessly into the full bodied and elegant wine. In the glass, it possesses distinct varietal character of brambly blackberry flavors, cassis, and seasoned with pungent aromas of cooking spices in this elegant and intensely layered wine. Its fruit forward flavors couple with power and concentration which provide lushness lashed with a seductive layer of cedar and cigar. The wine is roundly fruity with textured complexity. Driven by distinct berry notes and supported by a perfectly balanced acidity and delicious notes of stone fruit and spice coupled with a long, pleasing finish.
