The 2021 Rutherford TADDEI Block is an example of attention, consistency, and pedigree. There are times when I have a hard time telling wine apart. The 2021 TADDEI Block, is in every way, as impressive as the 2020 vintage. The consistency of the vineyard is fantastic. The 2021 is a showing more raspberry with a hint of mocha with aromatics that express raspberry, Bing cherry, leather, cedar box and pencil shaving. The pallet, remains very consistent between vintages although the 20201 favors more Raspberry than previous vintages, plum and leather with smooth soft tannins. The TADDEI Block vineyard is a very consistent, bench vineyard and its expressions of berry fruits and earth notes I find very appealing.
